The City of Marina requires a business license for all businesses operating in the City. A business license is required regardless of the trade, profession or occupation and regardless of whether the main business address is located within the City. Business licenses expire on June 30th of each year and must be renewed annually.

The easiest and fastest way to apply for a new business license or renew your current license is using the online filing service. To begin, simply click on the "start now" button located on the right of this page. From the main menu please select the "apply" option to submit a new application for your business. Alternatively, you may download a copy of the business license application directly from the helpful forms section of this website.

All persons or companies conducting business within the city limits are required to obtain City of Marina Business License. See City Ord. Ch. 5.04

Business exemptions include: charitable and nonprofit organizations, disabled veterans, minors (under sixteen years of age; see code), and artists and art exhibits (less than $1,000 per year). For proof of qualification, see City Ord. Ch. 5.12.

    New Business:
  • $110.00 for a business with an address within City limits
  • $55.00 for a business with an address outside City limits
